The ridiculous I and the Cosmos me

The strange truth of Eternal myth
Is the Sound; It is the
Sound Truth...Music Sound
And there always in music
The music always is
Whatever is
Always whatever is the music is
The pure sound
The sound symmetry
Equational values: vibrational
Differentiations: rhythms,
Harmonies, thought moods, pattern
Silences that speak
Cohesive points bridges connect
opposites...
There is black sound
The code
Projection sensitivity
Force reach decision
Perpendicular spirals
Galaxies, planets, earth
Man and his world
And the other world of man
Comprehension response
To the world of angels
~Ra

Wow, more amazing stuff. As delighted as I always am to see them when some kind person shares them, the Saturns always remind me of one of the dumbest things I ever did (or didn't do). I was fortunate enough to see the Arkestra many times in the late 70s-early 80s (some of the great musical experiences of my life), but for some reason I never bought any of the LPs they sold at the shows -- never. And it wasn't as though I wasn't buying records hand over fist at the time. I see them now and wonder, what on _earth_ was I thinking? "Nothing" is clearly the answer. Anyway, what a joy to be able to listen to these. Thanks again for your generosity and for all the very happy surprises.

Wow! Have I had a fantastic day listening to Mr Ra and his cohorts! He's a little less of a mystery to me now. I'll be listening to this stuff over and over - he's probably the last major jazz/avant garde figure to elude me, so thanks so much for taking the trouble to make this material available.

You really outdid yourself this time, zubzub! A very generous offering — many thanks. I hope all the Ra-heads out there come visiting this great blog. Although I never saw the Arkestra (with Ra himself) live, I too had an opportunity to purchase some (early) Saturns ... and didn't. A guy thinks he has a fair amount of Ra, and then there's always something new around the corner. With one exception, I haven't heard any of these! Woo-hoo!

Let me add my thanks. I thought i had heard a lot of the Ra - so many CDs are out now, and unreleased live tapes - but these rare Saturn LPs are an undiscovered country for me. Kudos!

anonymous (why anonymous?) ;)

destination out, not point of departure (though the latter is worth a look too)
http://www.destination-out.com/ great singles site

http://skafunkrastapunk.com/forum/index.php not sure if they are still accepting signups (you need to register and sign your name in big letters in your own blood %^)

zubzub,
Killer post. Thank you. Thank you.

For hideo,
I tried to sign up at skafunkrastapunk for the past few days and it said that registrations are not open. Luckily, I know someone that is already registered there. I don't think he had to sign his name in blood when he registered though, but I'll ask just to be sure.

Thanks for sharing these rare gems. I'm only just beginning to appreciate Ra, I think all that rubbish about him being an extra-terrestrial put me off. If you cut through that crap they made some great music.

What a joy to be able to listen to this obscure and wonderful Ra stuff. Did he ever do anything that wasn't at least entertaining if not pure genius. Bless you for making these available to those of us who truly transport at each listening. Thank you, thank you!
